Pianists Street

In a small street in Brussels, there is an unusual concentration of pianists: on one side, Martha Argerich's house; on the other, the Tiempo-Lechner's, four generations of pianistic prodigies. At just fourteen years old, Natasha Binder is the heir to a dynasty, its latest great promise. In her mother's diaries – who was also a child prodigy – in family videos, and among the pianists in the neighboring house, Natasha seeks answers to an essential question: what does it ultimately mean to be a pianist?

Reviews

Teaching, learning, travels, debuts, memories: 'The Street of Pianists' is a documentary about a place, a family, time and the Tiempo family, about the effort to continue a tradition, and the privilege of dedicating oneself to art.

★★★★ Javier Porta Fouz: Diario La Nación

It's a sample of cinéma vérité in which, paradoxically, the shots seem as little left to improvisation as the notes the Tiempo family plays on the piano.

★★★★ Diego Brodersen: Diario Página 12

A human portrait of the family's passion for music, the piano, a sacrifice, and enjoyment passed down through generations.

★★★★ Horacio Bilbao: Diario Clarín

The film is remarkably tender and of high quality, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in artistic creation and its beauties while posing questions and suggesting answers.

★★★★ Leonardo D’Espósito: Revista Noticias.

The director achieved an unusual level of intimacy with the characters, to the point that the presence of the camera goes almost unnoticed throughout the film.

★★★★ Diego Lerer: MicropsiaCine.com

It is a delicate, sensitive, and warm film, a testament to love for music.

★★★★ Josefina Sartora: OtrosCines.com

It reflects with extreme sensitivity and love for music how a group of women can transmit their passion to others, along with their extensive knowledge and professionalism, without falling into class divism and elitism.

★★★★ Gustavo Castagna: Diario Tiempo Argentino.
