Concert privé chez Daniel Barenboim
In order to capture the intimate atmosphere of chamber music, Daniel Barenboim performs a Beethoven trio at his home in Berlin, accompanied by his son Michael Barenboim on the violin and Kian Soltani on the cello. The inherent intimacy of chamber music has been lost in today's vast concert halls. To counter this trend and rediscover the joy of private concerts, conductor and pianist Daniel Barenboim opens the doors of his Berlin home. On the program is the interpretation of the famous "Trio for Piano and Strings No. 5 in D major, Op. 70 No. 1," also known as the "Ghost Trio" by Beethoven. Accompanied by his son Michael Barenboim on the violin and Kian Soltani on the cello, the maestro then shares insights in his living room with actress and journalist Annie Dutoit, recounting memories from his illustrious musical career.
